Music Bot

Are you interested in music? Well, if you are I have built an NXT music maker!
Yes it really makes music, the knob on the right controls the tone, while the knob on the left controls the volume. Pressing the orange button in the middle starts the sound, and releasing it makes the sound stop. For more pictures, click here.

  1. That's pretty awesome. Would you consider posting the programming? Or explaining how you programmed it?

  2. Yes, I will begin searching for the program immediately. I know it is somewhere on my computer, but where...?
If I can not find it I will try to make a new one. You can see my other projects on NXTLog. There is a link to them on the right.

  3. I did a search on my computer for the program and the results turned up null. So, I re-built one for you. I have posted a screen shot of the program at the bottom of the post.

  4. Thanks for rebuilding and posting the programming. I wasn't sure at first how you did it, but now it makes sense.

Also, if you don't mind me asking, where did you get the updated switches? I still have the old version with both the true and false displayed. Does it just come with newer programming CDs? Or did you download an update?

    Thanks!

  5. I don't know what version you have, but I only have the the one that came with 1.0. At the lower left hand, under "display", there is a check-box that says, "flat view." Checking this expands the switch so that, like you say, "both the true and false are displayed." Un-checking it makes the switch easier to fit into a large program, and enables you to have more than two options to chose from, (this only works for a text or number based switch.)

  6. Ah, ok. I wonder why I didn't notice that before... Thanks for your help!

  7. You are welcome. I fully understand, for I have run into quite a few things myself in the NXT programming software that I think should have been documented better.
